WHAT IS HAIR DENSITY?

Density refers to the number of hairs on the scalp per square centimetre, and reduced hair density is a way of referring to hair thinning.

How does the Density range work?

How many hairs should I lose per day before I'm worried?

Shedding 80-100 hairs a day is completely normal. Excessive shedding occurs when you notice more hair falling out daily, wider partings or thinning density, which may signal a disrupted hair growth cycle.

What is the difference between hair thinning and hair loss?

Hair thinning refers to a reduction in hair density. Our Trichologists assess this by comparing density across different areas of the scalp, such as the front, crown, and nape. Hair shedding, on the other hand, is the loss of hairs from the scalp.

Can hair density be restored once it's reduced?

In some cases, yes. Whether hair density can improve depends on the cause of the thinning or hair loss. Hair loss may be temporary, semi-permanent, or permanent.
